Fit in Your Workouts, No Matter What

Excuses are a workout’s worst enemy, and the one I hear over and over again for why people don’t workout is there just isn’t enough time in the day. With work, and family, and trying to fit in a little ‘stay sane’ time, there is room for little else.
Busy? I’ll give you that. 9 to 5’s seem to be a thing of that past, and the time clock has been replaced by a Blackberry beeping at all hours of the night, but too busy? Never.
There are two key elements to working out with a busy schedule: First, you must find the time to workout and then you must make the most of that time. The more efficient you are with your workouts, the less time you have to spend on them, while still getting the results you are looking for.
If you find yourself not getting in your workouts because ‘there just aren’t enough hours in the day,’ create new ones. Getting in a sweat session first thing in the morning won’t force you to rearrange your schedule to fit it in, and it will be done, out of the way, and you won’t have to worry about it. If it’s done in the morning, it can’t get pushed back, and it can’t get moved to the next day when something unexpected pops up.
I know it’s hard to get out of bed early, let alone workout, but a workout first thing in the morning will give you more energy for your day and boost your mood better than an extra hour sleep and latte can ever hope to. If you don’t trust yourself not to hit the snooze button, make some appointments with a personal trainer: if you know someone is waiting for you, you are less likely to skip.
Excellent advice! Very simple and hard to do but soooo worth it! Thanks!
