They don’t have a hip host like Andy Samberg, but GreatNonprofits has a cool thing going with the Green Choice Awards.
Is there an environmental non-profit making a difference in your city, country or planet that you feel deserves some special attention? You can honor them with a positive review and in doing so, nominate them for a Green Choice Award.
This is a great chance for you to shine the spotlight on local, smaller organizations that are doing big things to change the world and your community. The winning non-profit (determined by who has the most positive reviews) will be featured in national media coverage of the contest as well as the Great Nonprofits newsletter. And by writing a review, you become eligible to win something, too. You’ll be entered into a random drawing for all sorts of cool prizes like earth-friendly wines from Fetzer and Whole Foods gift certificates.
The nomination period ends along with the end of Earth Month on April 29, so this is your last week to get a word in for award-worthy organizations. Write your review and read more about the contest here.
