Healthy Holidays

I just love the holidays and Thanksgiving is by far my favorite Holiday of them all. I love to cook, so why wouldn’t I love a holiday that is all about family and food?! Thanksgiving hasn’t always been fun for me, when you have fought trying to maintain your weight as much I have all those treats are scary!
I used to dread the holidays, wondering how I could possibly stay on track with all my good eating habits when everyday another tempting treat awaited me! So how do I balance out all the good food and not pile on the pounds? I review my holiday goals.
Here are my five goals for the Holiday Season:
1. Make every effort to eat CLEAN FOOD 90% of the time.( going ok)
2. Enjoy all the baking treats and cocktails in moderation. (done)
3. Plan to workout and balance my time. (everyday)
4. Remember the true meaning of the season. (trying)
5. Live, Love, and Laugh! (YES)
I have to remind myself of my goals in order to stay on track and keep me at my “feel great weight”. Instead of spending all my time thinking about the foods I should avoid, I appreciate using tasty foods in a healthy way.
So to help you balance out all the treats here is an easy healthy delicious recipe.
