No woman, no tie-dye.

For the past four years, Breathe’s own Martha Evans has put on the Earth Day Reggae 5k in Black Mountain, NC. I had the pleasure of helping out at this year’s race on April 25. I didn’t run, but I was a good little helper: passing out cups and leis as runners danced across the finish line, and (wo)manning the the BRO/Breathe table. There was music, raffles (bummed that I didn’t win the BOB stroller), tie-dying, post-race refreshments, and of course the run itself, all in a beautiful wooded setting. You can view all of the pics from the day here, and I’ve included some faves below. More than a few folks came up to Martha (myself included) telling her that this was the most fun 5k they’ve ever attended. If you’re in the area next year, you’ll have to see for yourself!
Getting crafty at the tie-dye station.
Yours truly, making sure everyone gets leid.
Boogie on Reggae woman.
No babies were harmed in the running of this race.
