The New Recipe Box

So I am a recipe junkie! I love finding all sorts of healthy recipes from all over. On the Internet, blogs, allrecipes.com, magazines, and even from friends and family. My biggest problem was trying to keep them all organized so that I could find what I was looking for without pulling my hair out!

Last New Year’s Day, I decided to sit down with a good friend of mine and put together a cookbook of all of my collected recipes. Some of them were handwritten while others were barely even intact. I love organizing things, so this was not only a detailed organized project but also a fun one! First, I came up with a name for my recipe book, I decided to go with Bobbi’s Eats, plain and simple.

After coming up with a title I decorated my cover and wrote a little note to the generations that would read my book in the future. I then organized it in different categories such as breakfast, desserts, meats, etc…

I stuck everything from magazine cut-outs to my Grandma’s amazing cookie recipe in there.

Now, when I am ready to cook some of my favorite dishes, I reach for Bobbi’s Eats and get right to the kitchen! I don’t have to worry about waisting time digging through a bunch of papers trying to find that delicious casserole dish (I’m all about about being efficient).

So friends, how do you keep all of your recipes organized??
Such a great idea! I organize all my magazine recipes in a binder, all family recipes in another, blogs in another, and so on!! Makes it so easy to actually FIND a recipe
I have a pile of recipes that sit on the counter, waiting to be made. Once they are made, 2 out of the 3 of us have to agree it was a really great meal. Only then is the recipe added to my recipe box (a beautiful wooden box my husband gave me years ago). As far as cookbooks go, I write the page number and title on the inside front cover for easy reference.
